It's much easier to use and more intuitive than the 6210. We've also tried the same strategy you mention. It seems to work with a little success but we too still have patrons who insist on interacting with someone at the desk. Fortunately we haven't seen any issues related to Vista with the machine. On the other hand, our old 6210 was remotely hacked and had started serving up malware to some of our other computers! Hello, so far our V-series machine has worked flawlessly.
